Syria Aid

Saturday, May 28, 2016 - 17:19

Recently we had some local brothers who were planning to take aid out to Greece to help the fleeing Syrian refugees. After the Mosque previously having taken aid out to Calais three times we felt this cause was something which we had to be involved in, given the current situation in Syria the people are in dire need most of them being women and young children who have lost everything. We conducted a collection after Friday prayers and managed to raise over £1000 towards the effort, we believe in total the brothers raised around £5000 may Allah SWT bless them for their efforts, We received some pictures today of the aid being distributed, we sincerely pray that Allah SWT bless all those who contributed and those who made the journey to ensure each penny went towards this noble cause.
