Rohingya Charity Appeal

Sunday, March 11, 2018 - 15:59

Last year the Mosque with the grace of Allah SWT and the generous donations of the Woking community managed to raise thousands of pounds to help the Rohingya refugees. The money was used to construct water pumps, shelters, toilets and to distribute food packs on the Bangladeshi border with Burma. We would like to Thank Al Fatiha Global who ensured all the works were completed with their team on the ground. Charity is an integral part of the Islamic faith in the Qur'an Allah SWT says "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed (of grain) which grows seven spikes in each spike is a hundred grains, just like this Allah multiplies his reward for whom he wills and Allah is all-encompassing all knowing" (Baqarah 261). We will continue to keep all those suffering around the world in our thoughts and prayers, currently the Mosque is collecting and planning to send a second container full of food, drink and essential supplies to Syria, please do contact us if you would like to be involved.
