New historical book on Shah Jahan Mosque

Saturday, June 11, 2011 - 17:01

We are pleased to announce that the first-ever comprehensive history of the Shah Jahan Mosque has been published.

This unique book has been written by Brigadier (Retired) Muslim P Salamat.

Brigadier Salamat has served as the Chairman of the Shah Jahan Mosque over a number of years and has been eminently positioned to write a well-researched and documented book.

The book contains a number of historical references and images of the first purpose-built mosque in Britain. Such a book has been in demand for a long time by all visitors to this national heritage site as well as local residents.

Brigadier Salamat has generously agreed to donate all profits from the sale of this book to the Shah Jahan Mosque. The book is available in local book shops. For all ordering enquiries please contact us.
