Mosque History Project - Tender Invite & Feasibility Study Brief
INVITATION TO TENDER for a feasibility study on the development of an archival and history project based on the history of the Shah Jahan Mosque, Woking.
The Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking, built in 1889, was the first purpose built mosque in the UK. It has a significant place in the history of Muslims in Britain and Britain's relations with the Muslim world. The purpose of the project 'Exploring the Past to Inspire the Future' is to record this historic role and to support present-day outreach and engagement with wider British society and young Muslims.
We are looking for an experienced heritage professional with a successful track record to undertake a feasibility study. We expect the study and report to start in summer 2014 and lay the foundations for the final project to begin later this year.
Apply with cv and proposals preferably accompanied with a case history of work to: office@shahjahanmosque.org.uk
