Eid al Adha
Peace and blessings to everyone, Eid al Adha will be celebrated on Friday the 1st of September. There will be 3 prayers conducted at the SJM as follows:
- 7:00am - Hafiz Muhammad Akram
- 8:30am - Imam Saeed Hashmi
- 10:00am - Shaykh Naveed Arif
The community are requested to walk to the Mosque and to be respectful when entering and leaving. This is a very special month and the first 10 days are of great virtue.
During these special 10 days, we are encouraged to dhikr frequently. According to one hadith by Abdullah ibn Umar, the Prophet said:
“There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel (“La ilaaha ill-Allaah”), Takbeer (“Allahu Akbar”) and Tahmeed. (“Al-hamdu Lillaah”)”[Ahmed].
