The scafolding came down at the end of last year and the mosque can be seen in all its splendour. The prerimeter wall still needs completing and there are minor ongoing repair and tidy up tasks. You are most welome to come and visit us at the Mosque.

Tues 28/11/06

Most of the scafolding is finally down. We still have lots to do as the prerimeter wall needs completing and the roof is currently being releaded.

Some of the damage to the stone has been repaired, the paint has already been stripped ready for painting. Painting is well under way!

Contractors have taken samples of paint top analyse to determine correct colours. There is no reference on record of the previous paints used.

Stone has been cleaned on the sides of the building.

The process must be carried out with care to avoid damage to stone and building structure.

Closer inspection to determine if any further work can be done whilst scaffolding is up.
